If you book a trim clinic at Downwind Sailing we will run this clinic on your own Yacht or on a Yacht chartered by us for this purpose. No matter if you want to get the latest bit of speed out of your boat, or you just want some trimming advise to make your cruising more comfortable, our trim clinics will suit everyone’s wishes.

During our Trim Clinics you will get to know everything about Apparent wind, True wind, Current wind, etc. (Did you know that you can sail from England to Holland or France without any wind….. You can SAIL just on the tide.)
During a trim clinic organised by us we will also give you some Handy tips on route planning. If you plan your route the correct way, you will see that your average speed on voyages will increase and you start to get the best out of your Sailing Yacht.
